Crickets flour crepes with buckwheat flakes
A common tradition is to organise Pancake Day on Sundays. Discover a novelty, try a special recipe. Soft, fluffy, velvety-tasting puffs of pancakes, flavoured with fresh berries, are both a feast for the eyes and a blessing for the palate. Create delicious, unforgettable moments with your family!
INGREDIENTS (4 servings):
- 150 g wheat flour;
- 50 g crickets flour;
- 2 eggs;
- 2 tbsp buckwheat flakes;
- 300 ml milk;
- 160 g butter;
- 1tsp salt;
- 50 g vegetable oil for frying.
PREPARATION:
Mix the ingredients: wheat flour, cricket flour, buckwheat flakes. Add salt. Pour in the milk, beat in the eggs and whisk until smooth. Leave the dough to rest for 15-20 minutes at room temperature.
Heat a frying pan, lightly grease it with oil and fry the crepes on both sides.
Place a piece of butter on each crepe and roll it into a tube. Decorate with fresh berries, icing sugar and caramel. You can also garnish with dried crickets. Serve and savour.
Are you planning to try cricket flour and bake pancakes according to your own recipe? We recommend replacing a one third of your usual flour with cricket flour, so that the dough retains its structure and the new flavours develop best.
